24/7 emergency service

No heat. No cooling. No problem, any hour.

Emergency service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for the situations that can't wait until morning.

If you smell gas, leave first. Call second.

Get everyone out of the building immediately. Do not use light switches, appliances, or phones inside. Once you're outside, call 911 or your gas utility's emergency line. Do not wait to schedule a visit with us first. Safety comes before booking.

If a carbon monoxide alarm is sounding

Get everyone outside to fresh air and call 911. Don't go back in until responders say it's safe. Call us afterward and we'll find the source.

When to call our emergency line

We treat these as emergencies.

  • No heat when it's below 40°F outside
  • No cooling when it's above 90°F outside
  • Any safety risk, including smoke, sparks, or burning smells from equipment
  • No heat with vulnerable people at home, such as infants, older adults, or anyone medically fragile. We alert our on-call technician right away.

After-hours visits carry a $95 surcharge. Comfort Club members never pay it.

While you wait

A few things that help.

Check the thermostat

Confirm it's set to heat or cool, the setpoint is right, and the batteries aren't dead.

Check the breaker

A tripped breaker or a furnace switch that got bumped off is more common than you'd think. Reset once. If it trips again, leave it off.

Hold the heat in

Close blinds and doors to unused rooms. Use safe, listed space heaters only, with clearance from anything that can burn.
