Our heat went out at 1:30 a.m. with a newborn in the house. The on-call tech arrived so fast I'm still not convinced he wasn't already inside. He fixed the furnace, complimented the baby's posture, and was gone before sunrise. We have since found a second, smaller furnace in the basement that we did not own before. It also works. Five stars.
Callback
Called furious because my AC broke again two weeks after a repair. Nobody argued. They came back free under the 30-day guarantee and fixed it the next morning. The only change is that the AC now only blows cold air when someone in the house is telling the truth. It has been a very cold, very honest summer. Would recommend.
New AC
We asked for a quote on replacing our 20-year-old central air. Marcus measured the house, then measured us, then measured the dog. The quote was clear and fair. The new system is perfect. The dog has been officially reclassified as a 0.3-ton heat source and now has his own zone.
Heat pump
Switched from oil to a cold-climate heat pump. It heats the house beautifully down to 5 degrees. Below that it just sighs, audibly, which my wife finds supportive. The financing was 0%, and so was my understanding of how a heat pump works, but Marcus drew it on a napkin and the napkin is now framed in our kitchen.
Comfort Club
Comfort Club is worth every penny. Both systems get tuned up twice a year and the techs remember everything about you. Maybe too much. On the last visit he asked how my sister's knee was healing. I don't have a sister. I called her anyway. She's doing much better.
Commercial
Pinelands replaced three rooftop units on our retail center in a single day. The crane operator waved at every tenant individually, by name. Very professional. I'm unclear why one of the old units was lowered into a canoe and pushed gently into the creek after a short speech, but there was a line item for it on the permit, so I assume it's industry standard.
Furnace
Our furnace made a loud bang every time it started. The tech found dirty burners, cleaned them, and showed us before and after photos. Now, instead of a bang, it makes a soft little 'ta-da.' My kids are convinced the house is a magician. We schedule family meetings around startup now.
